Well, another year of racing has past and the chapter team did pretty well. Here are the final standings.

Expert 50 & over – Barry Edwards 4th place

Beg. 11 – 14 – Cooper Frost 1st place and Carter Moore 2nd place

Beg. 30-34 – Jake Pangle 1st place

Beg. 40 – 49 – David Frost 2nd place

Beg. 30 & over – Andrea Davis 3rd place

Not to bad for a first year team. There were a couple of injuries to note this year. Sheila suffered a broken clavicle at the Hanson Hills race just before the finish. And then David ended his season at the Addision Oaks race on his first lap with a broken clavicle that required surgery to repair. Hopefully, both riders will be up to some racing next year.

We had a pretty good showing for the Maybury TT. Thanks to all the team riders who came out and hung out at the tent before and after their races and congratulations to everyone that rode.

The team turn out for this event was low as was the overall rider turnout. The day turned out to be perfect. When we arrived to register it was raining and overcast, but the sun ended up coming out followed by the humidity. The course was tough and the hills were a killer. All of us were feeling it on our second lap, but overall I think everyone had a good day.

We also had team mate Bob Goodine ride the race, however he decided to drop out after his second lap.

The team had excellent standings at Hanson Hills this past weekend. Rider turnout was a little low for the race, but there were probably still close to 200 racers there for the day. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the trail was in excellent shape. It was super fast and flowing.

Our first race of the year kicked off April 20th at Yankee Springs. The western chapter of the MMBA threw everyone a little surprise this year by running the course backwards.

Our first race is coming up fast. Many of the chapter team members will be competing in the Yankee Springs time trial on April 20th.

I will be posting the results and hopefully some pictures of all the team members in action once I can. Several of our racers are strong riders so we are expecting some good results for the day.

We are starting indoor trainer rides every Wed. night at Revolution Bikes. The rides will begin at 7:00pm and last until about 9:00pm.
